This includes information from prospective members during the application and evaluation process (such as name, email, referral source, and professional background).

Login activity, interactions with the Service, and technical data such as IP address, device type, browser information, and session identifiers.

1.3 Confidential Community Data

Information shared within the Platform by members, including profiles, investment opportunities, and private communications.

1.4 Communication Data

Information related to your use of the Lightbridge Companion (WhatsApp) and email communications, including your phone number and message history with Lightbridge.

2. How We Use Information

2.1 Purposes

We use your information to:

• Operate and maintain the Service
• Evaluate and manage membership applications
• Facilitate trusted interactions between members
• Communicate service-related updates via email
• Communicate via the Lightbridge Companion (WhatsApp), where you have given consent
• Send event invitations and community updates
• Enforce our Terms of Service, Platform Rules, and community standards
• Comply with legal obligations (including tax and anti-money-laundering requirements)
• Improve platform security and performance
• Compile anonymized or aggregated analytics

Lightbridge is a private, invitation-only platform. We do not sell personal data.

We may share information only:

• With trusted service providers who support platform operations under strict confidentiality obligations (such as hosting providers, email services, and payment processors)

• To protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Lightbridge and its members

4. Messaging Services (WhatsApp)

Lightbridge uses WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., as a communication channel (“Lightbridge Companion”). When you opt in to receive communications via WhatsApp:

• Your phone number and message metadata (timestamps, read receipts, device information) are processed by Meta in accordance with WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• Messages are end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp. Lightbridge does not have access to WhatsApp's encryption keys.
• Meta may transfer and process data in the United States and other countries. For details, see WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
• You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by leaving the group, messaging info@lightbridge.co, or withdrawing consent in your membership settings.

Lightbridge's use of WhatsApp is based on your explicit consent, obtained during onboarding via the Membership Agreement. We do not share your phone number with other members unless you choose to make it visible in your member profile.

5. International Data Transfers

Lightbridge AG is based in Switzerland. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including Switzerland, the European Economic Area, and the United States (in connection with service providers such as WhatsApp/Meta and hosting infrastructure).

• For transfers from the EEA to Switzerland: Switzerland is recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
• For transfers to other countries: we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for respecting the privacy and confidentiality of information shared by others within the Platform.

We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When membership is terminated, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining records of transactions or compliance with anti-money-laundering obligations).
